Product Description
1GB DDR2 533MHz module from A-Data. PC2-4200 module for desktop systems. Ideal for upgrading new systems to Windows Vista. 240 pins, non-ECC, 1.8V, 8 chips (128Mx8 configuration), lifetime warranty.
A-Data is one of the worlds largest memory manufacturers. A-Data memory is known to be very compatible across most systems and it if offered with a lifetime warranty.
Description from the manufacturer:
A-DATA announces the Number-1 DDR2-533 module which passes the IntelR Platform Memory Validation in Taiwan, and this excellent module is avaliable now. Its densities are 512MB and other higher density module will be phased in soon. This module configuration is by 32M x 16 (512Mbit) die, 8 pcs dies in 1 rank.
This DDR2 DIMM is designed to meet the 533MHz data-rate specification of the JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standard, but it seems to own the huge potentiality to draw out higher performance in A-DATA laboratories.
By 1.8V low-voltage application, DDR2 modules can reduce about 50% power consumption, which is compared with 2.5V (DDR) power supply on the same operation speed. So it is an environment-friendly product. In order to achieve so amazing high operation speed, A-DATA applies the lower parasitic-loading FBGA (Fine-pitch BGA) package to run in full-speed without extraneous loading.
Compared with DDR, DDR2 owns four key technologies pave the way to high-speed operation and low power consumption.
