With the ability to read and write data at rates of up to 2.5 TB/hour, the LTO-7 Ultrium 15TB RW Data Cartridge from HP is able to record large amounts of data quickly and efficiently. This re-writable tape drive supports a standard data read speed of 700 MB/s with an archival life of up to 30 years, making it a viable long term storage solution. Once configured, users benefit from secure AES-256 encryption to help prevent unauthorized access while remaining compliant with most industry regulations.

The enhanced 'smart grabber' mechanism and mechanical interlock are designed to prevent the leader pin from being pulled inside the tape housing. Sensors detect proper connection and prevent leader loss that would ruin the tape.
