Team with rich experience in the RD of memory modules has found the rich potential inherited in the die for DD2-677 and DDR2-800 modules; i.e. they can run at DDR2-1066 or faster after overclocking. So they introduced the Xtreem Dark Series. The Xtreem Dark DDR2-1066, the first of the series, uses a 64x8&128x8 die layout to deliver 512MB,1GB and 2GB models also available in 2-module kit to ensure superb performance and compatibility in dual-channel application.
Team has also changed the style of heat-sink for the Xtreem Dark series to gray in order to tell consumers the difference. The Xtreem Dark DDR2-1066 module is made with high-level die from original manufacturers on an 8-layer PCB based in an ISO9001-compliant process. Besides the conventional burn-in verification, Team makes a step forward to put the Xtreem Dark DDR2-1066 in real-machine test on platforms made by different leader motherboard manufacturers.
